Yokohama Ice Guard IG20 tires combine superior traction in snow and ice with excellent riding comfort to come up with a snow tire that is also a very good value for the money. Yokohama utilizes the latest in snow tire technology in the tread design to keep you on the road in even the harshest of weather conditions.

The outside of the IG20 features interlocking 3D sipes and extended tread blocks that work together in biting through the snow, and also providing better braking performance. Micro diagonal grooves enhance traction when from stops.

The Ice Guard also sports four circumferential grooves for increased traction and great hydroplane resistance on wet roads. Yokohama has even added 'slush grooves' to assist in draining slush to the outside of the tire and away from contact path. Inside the tread you'll find twin steel belts for better strength and stability at higher speeds, as well as a more comfortable ride.

The only knock we can find with this model is perhaps high speed cornering on dry pavement, but unless you are pushing your vehicle to the limit this will not be an issue.

Overall, the Yokohama IG20 snow tire provides excellent traction and handling in the snow. It gives you more confidence behind the wheel regardless of what the weather is throwing your way. Along with a budget friendly price and longer treadlife, we really like this tire and highly recommend it.
