There are few high performance summer tires that are specifically designed for SUV's and crossovers, but the Yokohama Advan ST is one such model that does the job. Yokohama has used its advanced performance tire technology putting together the Advan ST and it shows up in the performance.

When you take a close look at the tire you will quickly notice the attractive directional tread design. This type of tread pattern is well suited for dry and wet road conditions. Yokohama has used a special blended compound containing silica to maximize grip on dry and wet roads. This compound is equally effective in very hot weather conditions, or temperatures dipping down into the forties.

The tread provides a great handling experience due to a unique five pitch variation tread block sequencing. You will be impressed at how the Advan ST handles at high speeds due to the unique block sequencing design. Yokohama has built this tire in keeping in mind the use of this tire by vehicles with a low center of gravity, which is a feature of a majority of the newer SUVs.

Something else worth noting is in how quiet this tire is. In fact it is one of the quietest tires in its class. You can easily make yourself heard even at high speeds on the highway due to lower road noise.

On the inside of the tire you'll find two strong steel belts that support the tire. The belts are further reinforced by spirally wound nylon cap plies, which provide enough strength to stabilize the even at higher speeds. The Advan ST is built for high speeds and it is rated for speeds of up to 186 mph.

Overall the Yokohama ADVAN ST tire is an excellent high performance summer tire that provides superior dry pavement traction and cornering, and a nice ride. On the other hand, they are not for use when the weather begins to turn cold, and tread life may be an issue.

Yokohama does not have a mileage warranty on the Advan ST. However, you will find a uniformity warranty for the first 2/32 inches of wear.
