Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum Tire Review

The Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum tire is designed to combine high performance handling with quietness and comfort, and take it to a higher level. The all-season tread design on the LX Platinum features sophisticated tire technology to meet the needs of all types of drivers.

The tread itself features an asymmetric tread design with four circumferential grooves and various sizes of sipes in the tread for improved wet, or snow covered pavement traction. The waffle designed sipes in this Kumho tire are all interlocked for better braking and stability.

The tread life is designed for 60,000 miles and inside the tread are two nylon wrapped steel belts an a polyester cord body. The jointless nylon cap in the construction is what helps to provide the much smoother and quieter ride you'll find on the tire.

Warranty

The Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum tire warranty includes a 6 year or 60,000 mile guarantee on the tread wear. Kumho also backs up materials and workmanship for 6 years as well. This includes free tire replacement for the first 3 years, followed up by a prorated amount for the remaining time period down to the last useable 2/32 inch of tread wear.

Kumho also provides a tire uniformity guarantee of one year or the first 2/32 inch of wear. Another added bonus with the warranty is the road hazard warranty for the first 25% of wear that is included. Finally, Kumho tires gives you a two year roadside assistance package with these tires.
