The General Altimax Arctic tire offers excellent performance regardless of how difficult the winter weather may get. Ice, light snow, deep snow and slush are easier to navigate with snow tire. And if you need to, add TSMI #12 studs to the tire for ultimate in traction.

The directional tread pattern features an all-weather dual tread compound that keeps the tire flexible in cold temperatures, which enhances traction and handling. Multi angle and 270-degree high density sipes provides much better traction on wet road surfaces, reducing the risk of hydroplaning.

Inside the Altimax Arctic you'll find twin steel belts and Reactive Contour Technology which combine to give the tire better contact in varying road conditions. Overall, this is an excellent snow tire that performs almost as well as the Bridgestone Blizzak, but comes in at a lower price.

Warranty

The Altimax Arctic does not have a tread life guarantee, which is not unusual for snow tires. However, you can expect good treadwear on this particular model. It does come with a one-year or first 2/32 inch wear on the tire unifromity.

General Tire backs up materials and workmanship for 6 years and includes free tire replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. They follow this up with a prorated amount for the remaining term down to the final 2/32 inch of useable tread life.
