Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D Tire Review
Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires provide not only impressive performance in both normal or severe winter weather
conditions, but are designed to give a smooth comfortable ride and a longer tread life on all types of performance
sports cars and sedans.
The unique directional tread compound is enhanced with silica and keeps the tire softer in even the coldest of
weather, which means you have added grip and dependability in harsh conditions. With three distinctive traction
zones, which is where Dunlop gets the "3D", and three different kinds of sipes in the tread, traction and handling
on wet, snow, ice or slush covered roads is improved. The risk of hydroplaning is greatly reduced, which results in
better confidence behind the wheel.
Inside the tire you'll find Dunlop's JointLess Band technology that wraps around twin steel belts. The result is
added strength and stability at higher speeds, as well as a longer and more even tread life. Dunlop Tires
recommends installing the SP 3D snow tires in sets of four in order to get the best traction and performance.
Overall, the SP Winter Sport has excellent performance on dry pavement, with cornering grip and handling that
rival normal high performance tires. On snow and ice this tire does a solid job of getting you to where you want to
go. With its riding comfort and long tread life, it's hard to go wrong in making this your choice in snow
tires.

Warranty
Like most snow tires, Dunlop Tires does not have a treadlife guarantee on the SP Winter Sport 3D. However, you
will find a 6 month or first 2/32 inch of wear guarantee on the tire's uniformity.
A 6-year guarantee on materials and workmanship provides for a free tire replacement during the first year or
first 2/32 inch of wear. This is followed up with a prorated warranty for the remaining time period or until there
is just 2/32 inch of useable tread left on the tire.
