Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 Tire Review
With solid all-season performance to go with a comfortable ride, the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 tire has some things
going for it for owners of SUV's and light pickup trucks.
Dunlop has used its advanced Versaload Technology in the Grandtrek AT20 by which it provides a larger contact
patch to the tire for enhanced grip and stability. This technology also contributes to the improved comfort and low
road noise that the tire provides.

Dry pavement traction is above average for this tire, and the best part is that it gives you a longer tread
life, which saves you a good sum of money in the long run.
A special compound has been incorporated into the tread design to ensure good traction in all seasons. The
continuous center rib along with the shoulder blocks enhance dry traction and enable an even wear of the tread.
Traction is also helped by wider grooves on the circumference along with deep lateral grooves.
The Grandtrek AT20 is a very stable tire due to two super strong steel belts on the inside of the tire.
The placement of the tread blocks is computer optimized ensuring that there are blocks of different sizes placed in
a particular pattern. What this does is to pitch sound at different frequencies so that they negate each other
resulting in a noise free ride for the occupants of the vehicle. This wonderful technology has been named
Multipitch Tread Design and patented by Dunlop.
Dunlop also has a special technique by which the plies are pre-stretched and pre-cured so that it creates
conditions for optimum stability for a smooth and comfortable ride. This is called DSP which stands for
Dimensionally Stable Polyester, a unique technique developed for these tires by Dunlop.
Overall the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 Tire is a solid all-season tire choice. It handles very well on dry or wet
pavement, and the ride is comfortable. The one thing to keep in mind with this particular tire is that it is not
designed for a lot of off-road driving. But if on-highway is your style, then this model is one to add to your
short list.
